Fury Gold has launched a multi-year environmental baseline and field studies program at Eau Claire Project in Northern Québec. Over the next two years, environmental specialists will conduct seasonal studies on water resources, wildlife, fish habitat, vegetation, wetlands, climate, archaeology, land use, air quality, and other key environmental and social factors.
This program will:
Establish a comprehensive baseline of existing conditions
Support responsible project planning, environmental management, and future permitting
Identify sensitive environmental and social features
Inform mitigation and monitoring measures as the project advances
We are working with experienced environmental and social specialists — including Cree-owned Wassah and BBA Consultants — and involving Indigenous personnel in field activities while incorporating local and traditional knowledge where appropriate.
Through this work, Fury Gold is building the scientific foundation needed to advance Eau Claire responsibly, with a focus on environmental stewardship, transparent planning, and respectful community engagement.
